Support AEI Tax Initiative

Dear Sir / Madam -
I am greatly concerned that the [city, county, province or state of -------] has not yet implemented even the slightest effort to tax and regulate the various "Adult Entertainment Industry" businesses (AEI) operating from within our community. Today these businesses make huge profits by abusing the constitutional right of free speech at great harm to our families and communities. They do this by running internet websites loaded with vast quantities of unhealthy material, graphic images, stories and chat forums with sloppy or even non-existent controls to restrict access by our minor children.

The internet today has created a situation where at least one member in upto every four households now engages in a very unhealthy addiction of indulging in this material. Scientific research has documented where this addiction is a leading factor motivating child abuse, spouse abuse, divorce, broken homes, employment loss and otherwise greatly contributing to the increase of those on the social welfare roles of government and charitable organizations. This tax would reimburse them for some or all of those costs.

This tax would not only be fair but is urgently needed. It will is an important followup to Child Online Protection Act (COPA) that was passed by Congress a few years ago but never enforced. A tax on unfiltered material would strongly encourage AEI businesses to start now to clean up their act.

Please help us by contacting your local community, newspapers, religious and political officials and strongly encourage them to enact this important piece of legislation. Challenge him or her that doesn't immediately step up to take a lead role in supporting this type of legislation that protects our common family values.
